History
Home to one of California’s oldest wine-producing areas, vineyards and wineries first flourished in the Sacramento region during the Gold Rush era. A century later, in the 1970s, a renaissance in the growth of premium vineyards and wineries began. Ever since, the area has produced countless varietals of winning wines that rival the region’s more famous cousins in the Napa valley.
